And yes, I'm well aware that this is not a new practice. I guess the thing that strikes me as particularly odd is that, like tattoos and "regular" piercings before it, this seems to be heading into a phase of being "the cool thing to do", you know? [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] Like previously it was a certain group/type of person that was doing it for very specific reasons, not because it was "cool" or the new thing to do. I think its just weird how the deliberate self-infliction of pain has become such a fad. I don't get it. I go out of my way to avoid pain. I had ONE earring years ago and that was enough for me. How anyone could get some kind of kick out of it is beyond me. [img]eek.gif[/img]
